Diving with Bull Sharks from Riviera Maya

1 day
About this activity
Every year, from November to February, a significant number of Bull sharks migrate into the waters of Quintana Roo. Males mostly hang out in the waters of Cancun, and females, many of whom are pregnant, swim to Playa de Carmen. Bull sharks are able to survive in both fresh and salt water, and it is believed that females are attracted by the fresh water of the cenotes, which flows into the ocean. We are fortunate that we can meet these amazing animals while diving very close to the beach in Playa del Carmen.

Sharks are magnificent. Even those who never saw a real shark will agree with this statement. As matter of fact, not every diver with experience had an honor to meet with the legendary predator. Unlike other sharks, Bull shark has much larger size, sometimes as long as 13 feet. The name bull it got due to its blunt face shape and aggressive, stubborn behavior. Bull shark - like a Pit bull in the fish kingdom: powerful, perfectly adapted to the attacks and, of course, dangerous. But don’t be afraid, it’s easy to avoid any problems if you take certain precautions. Fortunately, for underwater admirers there are fantastic safe shark shows in different parts of the world. And, as you might have already guessed a diving with bull sharks in Mexico tour is one of them.
