Ek´Balam (Jaguar Star) is a Mayan city that had its maximum development during the Late Classic / Terminal (600-850 / 900 AD) and possibly hosted the "Tlalol" kingdom. The first known king of Ek´Balam is Ukit Kan Le´t Tok (the father of the four flint fronts) who was the builder of most of the sumptuous palace that we now know as Acropolis and many other works. Likewise, he was the promoter of technical and cultural advances, as well as of architectural and decorative wealth, whose best example is Structure 35 Sub, located inside the Acropolis and known as Sak Xok Nahh (white house of reading ), which served as a grave for Ukit Kan Le´t Tok, who was buried with a rich offering made up of more than 7,000 pieces such as ceramic vessels, shell objects, snail and tumbaga.

The body of water of the Cenote Maya Park is 17 meters deep from the floor level and to go down there are two options: abseiling or descending by wooden stairs, which allows you to reach the platforms to jump into the water and swim in a natural pool, illuminated by the sun's rays that glide through the gigantic roots of the trees, whose glasses appear outside. Enjoy the beautiful formations in this large natural pool of 80 meters. diameter. It ascends from the cenote through the ancient Maya tunnel to reach the park's gardens.

Visit and refresh yourself at the Cenote Maya: Descend into the region’s most impressive Cenote of 60 m diameter and an almost perfect circular shape. Swim in crystal clear waters and admire its rock formations. This is the biggest cenote with dome in the Yucatan Peninsula found so far. Ascend from the underworld through a tunnel or use the large wooden staircase.
 Optional included adventure activities. Swimming, diving, Trepachanga (ropes), Tarzan vine and rappel down 26 m (85 feet). 264 lbs is the maximum weight for the rappel activity.
 Maya ritual. Be part of an authentic Mayan blessing ceremony that will be performed by a local shaman.
 Traditional meal. Enjoy an authentic Mayan menu including soup, chicken, vegetables, rice, beans and hand-made corn tortillas.
