Explore Riviera Maya (3 Day Weekend)

Day 1 - 9:00 am - 9:00 pm Introduction to the Riviera Maya

You’ll be met at the Cancun airport by a LocalAdventures representative and driven to your eco-friendly hotel in Tulum. Depending on the time you arrive at your hotel, we suggest a good meal and to relax on the beach before the following day’s excursions.

Day 2 - 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Sian Ka'an Natural Reserve

We will take a 4x4 Jeep of up to 5 people and off-road to Punta Allen where the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve is located, a place that has beautiful mangroves, virgin jungle and more than 350 species of animals.

We will then jump on a boat tour through the mangroves, to the open sea where we will most likely see white turtles, manatees and dolphins in their natural habitat. Time to snorkel the second largest coral reef in the world!

After snorkeling take some time to relax and bath in the sun of a beautiful beach called "La Piscina". A delicious dish will be waiting for us in the beautiful town of Punta Allen. After our late lunch we will return back to the hotel in Tulum.

Day 3 - 7:00 am - 8:00 pm Chichen Itza, Ek Balam and Cenote Ik Kil.

After crossing several villages we will visit an ancient Mayan city of Chichén Itzá. Once there our archaeological guide will show us the amazing constructive and acoustic techniques used by the Mayan civilization while building the pyramids.

Before a delicious traditional meal we will enjoy a swim in the cenote of Ik Kil, a cenote with a special charm with beautiful lianas and water filtrations. 

After lunch we will have time to hike around the archaeological ruins of Ek Balam. These Mayan ruins were built more than 2,000 years ago. We can climb to the top and enjoy the same spectacular panoramas as the ancient civilization.

Day 4 - 9:00 am - 9:00 pm Recovery Day

We packed a lot in a 3 day weekend. Time to head back to reality with a new outlook on life. Let your guide know what time you want to be back at the Cancun airport. You’re now part of LocalAdventures family, and we can’t wait to see you for your next adventure with us!
