About this activity
This tour is an excellent option to see two incredible but completely different sites of Mayan ruins that are both close to the Mayan Riviera.
Coba is an ecological reserve as well as an archaeological site, the only one in which we can take a bike ride through. Climb one of the tallest temples in the Yucatan Peninsula and admire the stunning view of the jungles that surround this huge ancient city.
A city where you’ll admire many interesting and well-preserved stellae depicting the power of the Mayan lords and their rituals, a visit to Coba is not to be missed.
After our visit to Coba we will head to a cenote for a break. Cenotes provide an excellent opportunity to cool off and work up our hunger for a delicious traditional local meal.
We will have a buffet lunch at a traditional restaurant with varied food options. Traditional Yucatec food, salads and desserts.
We will finally head to Tulum, an important Mayan port set against the beautiful backdrop of the Caribbean sea.
Facing the turquoise blue ocean, this small but picturesque city is believed to have been the most important trading port of the post-classical period of time in Mesoamerica and one of the last important cities that was still inhabited by Mayans when the Spaniards arrived.
Your guide will give you all the important history and details about this city, the most visited archaeological site in Mexico and the people that inhabited it not long ago.
A great combination of raw history, nature and beautiful scenery with lots of information on what once was the great Mayan civilization, join us for this unforgettable tour!
