Day 1: Tulum

Day 1: Tulum
For your Tulum tour, be collected from your Cancun or Riviera Maya early in the morning. Once you get to the ruins, enter the site before the crowds and admire ruins against the backdrop of the Caribbean Sea.
Your archaeologist guide gives you an in-depth tour of Tulum, including access to parts of the ruins that traditional tours do not visit. Learn about the meaning of Tulum, the Mayan word for "wall," and the ancient Mayan civilization that occupied this site. Walk around the site and imagine how life must have been when it was occupied.
Your tour concludes with hotel drop-off.

Day 2: Xplor Adventure Park
Stop At: Xplor Park by Xcaret, Federal Highway Chetumal-Puerto Juarez Km 282, Playa del Carmen 77710 Mexico
The next day, you'll head to Xplor Adventure Park following hotel pickup. You'll enjoy two zipline circuits, an underground river, lush jungles, and lavish buffet spreads. This natural adventure park is sure to bring out the adrenaline junkie in you and is ideal for families with kids.
One of the ziplines span 14 different lines so you'l'll feel the thrill as the wind rushes past your face. Then, you can also drive an amphibious vehicle into the jungle and enjoy the underground river floating through rock formations by raft. If you feel hungry, you can enjoy the park's all-day, all-you-can-eat buffet.
Your tour concludes with hotel drop-off.

Day 1 - Pick up was on time, comfortable ride to the site. Our group was split into two groups one English speaking and one Spanish speaking. Our guide was Nicholas for the English speaking portion of the tour. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about his job. We had a good amount of free time to stroll around and check out the beach. Pack some snacks to bring along or you can purchase food from the vendors there. Day 2 - Our pickup point was different for Day 2, not sure if I missed something in the communication we were sent but I made the assumptions that we would be picked up at our hotel lobby just as we were for Day 1. Once we figured out where we need to go for the meeting point across from Selecto grocery store everything went smoothly. The day was amazing, our guide on the tour bus was lively and kept us engaged. The park itself is beautiful! We purchased the picture options for two 91 CAD with taxes, absolutely worth it, great quality shots. The park has a great layout, we didn't have any long wait times for any of the attractions. We very much enjoyed the buffet and the smoothies. Bathrooms and other facilities are clean. The ziplines are amazing, felt very safe and secure. All of the staff members we interacted with were friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend using water shoes, we purchased ours at the park 599 pesos so purchasing it somewhere else would probably be a better choice
This was the best price we found for these two attractions. Plus we scored an extra 10 off because this was our first purchase through viator. The tulum tour starts very early 5am but it was worth it to us to be the first group through the gates and have the whole place to ourselves. By the time we were done, the site was very crowded. The early time also meant we were back to our resort by 2pm so we still got to enjoy the afternoon relaxing by the water. Our guide at Tulum was great and gave us some free time to wander around the ruins on our own after his guided tour. The lunch provided is a sad little sack lunch, but it was nice to have something to tide us over until we could get back to the hotel. Xplor was amazing too! We were picked up at 7am and spend the whole day in the park. Even though the park is popular, there is so much to do and it's so big that we hardly had to wait in line for anything and often felt like we were all alone during our exploring. The park has lots of cameras everywhere that will automatically snap your picture. You can purchase the picture package in the park for 60 for 2 people. If you don't purchase it then, you have 2 weeks after your visit to go online and see your pictures and can purchase them then, but it is more expensive. The atmosphere inside the park is awesome and the buffet restaurant is wonderful! We loved our day at xplor! Please note that if you schedule your tulum tour on a Saturday, then your xplor day will be on Monday the park is closed Sunday. We didn't know this and waited on Sunday to be picked up for 2 hours before calling and finding that out.
