Valladolid Magic Town Tour with Cenote Swim From Cancun and Riviera Maya

You will be picked up at your hotel in Cancun or Riviera Maya early in the morning to start the drive to Valladolid. You'll first stop at cenote X-Cajum, known as the "Place of sounds" where you will enjoy the crystal clear waters and go for a swim. Then, you'll continue the drive and have lunch before your tour at "Ki, Janaàl" restaurant. Here, you will enjoy a typical Yucatecan buffet (salad bar, fruit lime soup, rice, beans, roasted suckling pig, desserts in the area).
You'll first visit the former convent of "Santo Domingo" which was built with stones from nearby Mayan ruins in 1646. Explore this place and learn its history which saw the Caste War when Mayan rebels captured Uayma and destroyed the original church. It was rebuilt in 1891 and the restoration of the church ended in 2005, leaving it in a state very similar to the one it originally had. Stay at this colonial site for some time and take pictures.
Then, you'll continue to a Maya village where a Mayan priest will greet you and you can take pictures in an original house (palapa). Learn about the Maya customs and culture including their worship and healing techniques.
You'll arrive at the heroic city of Valladolid at around 4pm and visit the most important buildings including Sisal convent, principal Park, main church, Palace murals and the neighborhood of Sisal which was originally known as Sis-Ha (fresh water) since it had a cenote where the Franciscans built on top. You'll also see Izamal and Maní, along with wonderful convents and churches. Explore and learn all about this town and then drive back to Cancun where your tour ends with hotel drop-off.
