About this activity
During this tour you will travel through the French Rivera to explore Eze, La Turbie, Monaco, Cannes, Antibues, Saint-Paul-de-Vence.
The first stop will be at the medieval village Eze, located at an altitude of 429 metres above sea level with its dramatic location, curious exotic gardens, great history and fine art. In Eze you'll visit the Fragonard factory to discover the secrets of perfume.
Later you will drive through the village of La Turbie, also called the "Terrace of Monaco" due to the panoramic view on the Principality of Monaco and with its Trophy of the Alps, a Roman monument built in 7 BC. You will reach the luxurious Principality of Monaco known as "The Rock" for its location on a rocky headland extending to the Mediterranean. There you can visit the Old Town with the Prince's Palace, the Oceanographic museum and the Cathedral in Neo-Romanesque style entirely built with white stone where Grace Kelly and Rainier were married and buried.
Next drive to Monte-Carlo along the world-known formula 1 grand prix circuit to reach the famous Casino square of Monte Carlo with its luxurious shops, fantastic casinos and interesting places.
Then on the way to Cannes see the medieval village of Saint-Paul-de-Vence. It's impossible not to fall under the spell of the landscape presented before the visitor of the medieval town Saint-Paul-de-Vence. By entering the city through the Royal Gates you will see the little streets where every home is like a souvenir store or an art studio with windows blossoming in flowers.
The next stop will be the pretty town of Antibes where Picasso lived. The last stop will be Cannes, well know for the annual Film Festival and a beautiful city. It has a beautiful bay framed by mountains on land and the Lerensk islands from the Mediterranean sea, with its lovely beaches, boutiques and the famous Croisette stretching for 2.5 km along the sea with the world-famous buildings such as the Carlton hotel, The Casino and the Palais des Festivals et des Congres.

The tour operator VIP RIVIERA TOUR SARL offers late pick up (and argued with us regarding the scheduled time), no tour guide or local tour (only a driver that did not provide a tour) and the vehicle was a car (not a mini van). I was traveling with elderly participants, so this put 3 adults in the back seat of a car, and one of us in the front seat, with no local tour or tour guide. In other words, we took an Uber X to Monserrat, Morocco and Monte Carlo. We did see other tour operators and guides (even actively with their guests in the towns we visited) so I recommend calling to find out if VIP RIVIERA TOUR SARL is the operator if you book the tour. I am sure there are other tour operators that contract through Viator that are much, much better, so if it is tour operator VIP RIVIERA TOUR SARL do cancel and save yourself the trouble (and expense). I did ask for a partial refund, and VIP RIVIERA TOUR SARL refused. Finally Viator offered 10% off (after one phone call, three emails and my expression that I would file a claim with my credit card). However, they are not good at math since the 10% they credit to my card was $47 for a $538 tour (?) I did contact my credit card and while any refund is still pending, they were helpful and recommended that if the tour was not as described (or written in the printed description) that I should have not gotten in the car (which should have been a minivan) and could have bailed at anytime and actually called a real Uber to get back. Lesson learned. Most tours I have booked through Viator (Italy, France, Portugal, Spain) have been great. The tour operator VIP RIVIERA TOUR SARL is a black eye for them.
Rene was our private driver/guide, and he is excellent! Our family of six had a wonderful time. Rene's enthusiasm made the experience unforgettable. I highly recommend this tour!
This is the only way to tour... with a private guide. Our guide was knowledgeable and took us to several cities and the country of Monaco. If you are in the area on a cruise ship this is a MUST do tour.

We had a wonderful trip. We saw and learned so much. Our driver, shared stories of the history of Cannes, Eze, Monaco, and Monte Carlo as well as a little fun trivia about some of the famous people from the areas also. He was an excellent driver and allowed us plenty of time to enjoy our stops.
