About this activity
First, head to Monaco and Monte Carlo. Magnificent palaces, casinos, luxury shops, and exotic gardens are waiting for you. The guide will tell you the fascinating story of a sovereign state between Nice and the Italian border, that perfectly captures the essence of the Côte d'Azur with its palaces in the rococo style, lunch gardens, world famous casinos and glamour of the royal family. By car, you will drive along the famous Formula 1 track. You will visit the Monte Carlo casino and can enjoy an optional walk around the Japanese Garden. There will also be some free time during which you can see the changing of the guard in front of the palace of the Prince, take pictures or buy souvenirs.

Next, head to Eze. Take a stroll through the old town with your guide. This old village is huddled around a substantial medieval fortress, with rocks and houses of similar hues blending into each other.

Afterwards, your guide will take you to the Fragonard perfume factory near the town of Eze. It offers you the opportunity to learn all the stages of perfume production. Your guide will take you for a tour of the factory. Make sure you peruse the factory shop, where you can treat yourself to a wonderful new perfume (own expense).

Your guide will then take you to Cannes. By car, you will drive along the world-famous Boulevard de la Croisette. The guide will tell you the fascinating story of Cannes and the Lérins islands are located offshore. Since 1834 a whole host of famous personalities have helped to establish the city's reputation. In the past the aristocracy would spend the winter here. Nowadays celebrities flock here during the film festival, which is one of the most important events in the cinema world. There will also be some free time during which you can see the Film Festival Palace, take pictures on the famous red road or buy souvenirs.

The last stop of your trip is the top of Cannes hill near one of the oldest churches, Notre-Dame-de-l'Espérance de Cannes where you will be able to make a memorable photo with the view of the entire bay of Cannes.

The tour finishes as your guide drops you off at your port of call.

The private tour was everything we expected and more. The guide who lived in the area was wonderful. She showed us where the Cannes festival took place and we saw hand prints, both old and new like in the Hollywood walk of fame. from there we traveled to Nice, where she lived, Eze and a few other locations along the way to Monaco. The perfume factory was interesting even though it was closed when we visited. Monaco and Monte Carlo were great. We traveled along the route of the Grand Prix in Monte Carlo. The wealth in this area is not to be believed. We saw the tomb of Princess Grace and the Prince. We had time to walk around Monaco and view the sights of the City before returning back to our vehicle for the return ride to the port.

This was a great tour! It was definitely a full long day with lots of walking, but we were able to see so much! The tour guide was excellent and told us so much about the city and the country. My favorite place was La Sagrada Familia. She was able to tell us such details about it even though it was VERY crowded. Like I said, LOTS of walking but well worth it to see so many things in one day!

Felt a tad rushed by the guide and also that he wasn't happy we wanted to see the changing of the guards in Monaco (and didn't know it wasn't happening due to construction-we felt as the expert he should have known) but he was very nice and super informative and we had a good day.

Unfortunately our driver, Paul, was sick. He was feverish, sweating, coughing, and blowing his nose for the duration of the day. Despite the heat and the wind, we kept the car windows open so as to attempt and avoid getting infected from him. Completely unprofessional to send someone so sick to be in the car with tourists for 5 hours. The tour itself is nice, although, I'm thinking a day at the beach in Cannes would have been much nicer and less stressful then the experience we had. Monte-Carlo is really not worth the drive there and back from Cannes.

The sights and locale were amazing! Tour guide was waiting for us when we arrived. Guide wasn't very knowledgeable as compared to other tour guides. More a driver than a guide.
