The medieval hilltop village that attracts so many artists and actors. From a bastion above the ramparts, overlooking the village cemetery (where Chagall is buried), you’ll find a superb view of the Maritime Alps and the Esterel mountains to the west of Cannes. Within the village walls are a multitude of art galleries, shops with regional crafts and charming homes on side streets with beautiful flowers abound.

One of the most beautiful medieval Villages of France (XIIé C) built on a rocky spur at 3 000 feet altitude; it overlooks the Vallée du Loup. Its incomparable panorama extends over 60 miles on the French Riviera. Only 6 miles as the crow flies from the Mediterranean Sea, Gourdon is a wonderful place for a stroll, an absolute must. You will enjoy its lively lanes, Provencal houses and you’ll discover its numerous craftsmen.
