About this activity
Our journey to Cape Point in an air-conditioned Toyota Quantum takes us along the Atlantic seaboard coastal road.
We pass the pristine beaches of Cliton and Camps Bay before arriving at a small and attractive town of Hout bay, which is an important port for snook and crayfish. You can take a short boat trip to the nearby Duiker Island that is home for thousands of fur seals (not included in price).
Later we drive through the famous Chapmans peak Drive, a 9 km route with 114 curves, which makes it one of the most spectacular mountain drives in the world. Time permitting, we will stop the Cape Point vineyards where you can enjoy a variety of 5 wines while contemplating a breathtaking view of Noordhoek beach.
We then proceed to the Boulders beach, home to a large colony of African Jackass Penguins. There is an optional lunch at Seaforth restaurant, which offers excellent variety of Seafood.
Tacama baboons are common along the route. Don't be tempted to feed the baboons, as they are mostly aggressive.
Upon arrival at Cape Point, we will take funicular ride to the upper Lighthouse where breathtaking views of Cape Peninsula and the surrounding areas opens up.
Cape Peninsula offers magnificent scenery, unspoilt nature reserves and breathtaking ocean and mountain views. This tour is truly memorable experience and if picturesque views is what you want, this tour is a must.
