Cape Peninsula Cultural Day Tour

The tour starts at 10am inside the informal settlement of Masiphumelele. Hotel pickups will commence between 30 minutes and 1 hour prior to the start of the tour depending on guests location. The Township walking tour will last approximately 3 hours and will cover about 2km's of walking. This is a community based walking tour that takes part in the Masiphumelele informal settlement. The tour is focused on the spirit of community and includes interaction with local entrepreneurs, with NGO's and the local creche, and includes lunch at Nonny's House.

From here, depart for a scenic tour of the Cape Peninsula. The first stop is at the local Ostrich Farm. Here guests will have the opportunity to explore the gift shop and see all of the uses for Ostrich Leather and Eggs. Guests even have the opportunity to feed the Ostrich.

After the Ostrich farm, the tour will enter Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and will visit the Lighthouse. This is quite a steep walk and not for the feint of heart. A tram is available for you (own account) should you choose not to walk. The lighthouse offers panoramic views of False Bay and the surrounding areas. After the Lighthouse, the tour will visit the most South Westerly point of the African Continent.

Then proceed to Boulders Beach where you will have the opportunity to see the endangered African Penguins.

Guests will be transported back to to their hotel for the end of the tour.
