About this activity
You will be collected 8:30am and begin the full day (max. six people) private walking and driving Cape Town city tour. With the mountains on one side and the ocean on the other, Cape Town is a stunning city bursting with life. Explore Adderley Street in the heart of the city. See some exciting historical buildings which are stalwarts of the city’s culture and history, including the Batholomew Dias Monument, the Jan Van Riebeek Monument, the Zacharias Waganaer Water Reservoir, the Cape Castle, City Hall where the former president and the Father of the nation, Nelson Mandela, delivered his first speech, the Slave Lodge, The Company Gardens and Greenmarket Square.

From there, you will visit Afrogem Jewelry experts to discover the alluring secrets of diamonds and the mysterious rare, blue Tanzanite gemstone. At Afrogem, you'll learn from highly skilled and experienced staff about every aspect of mining, manufacturing, and buying precious stones.

After this fascinating experience, we continue exploring the beautiful "Mother City," visiting the colorful houses in Bo-Kaap, the Noon Gun, take a cable car up Table Mountain, and see Signal Hill, Camps Bay and Chapman’s Peak.

From there you will stop for an optional cup of coffee in Noordhoek before proceeding to Cape Point vineyard for your first wine tasting. Some of South Africa's best Sauvignon Blanc wines are produced here amid stunning mountain and sea views. You will drive through the Old Cape Road down to Steenberg Wine Estate, where you will stop for your second wine tasting. Lunch is recommended either at the Foodbarn Restaurant in Noordhoek or at Bistro 1682 restaurant set on the Steenberg Estate, offering creative cuisine with global influences. After lunch, you'll visit the country's oldest winery — Groot Constantia. This winery will also host your third wine tasting for the day. Thereafter, you will proceed to the sprawling, lush Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens at the foot of Table Mountain for a guided tour (time permitting).

Around dinnertime, you will be dropped off at your hotel, guesthouse, or a place of your choice within Cape Town.
