Stop At: Robben Island Museum, Cape Town Central 7400 South Africa

We will collect you from your accommodation in Cape Town between 07H00 and 08H00am in a shared air conditioning mini bus or similar vehicle and we will drive to Nelson Mandela Gateway to Robben Island, where your tour guide will issue you with your return ferry ticket.

Upon arrival at the Nelson Mandela Gateway, you will be requested to produce the tickets issued by your guide to the RIM (Robben Island Museum) officials for scanning. After scanning your tickets, you will then gain access to one of RIM’s reliable boats and embark on a journey of about 30 – 45 minutes’ boat-ride to Robben Island.

When the boat arrives on the Island, you will then go join the rest of the guest of RIM on a bus tour around the island. Having the Kramat, John Craig Hall, Maximum prison and Lime Quarry as one of the highlights; you are guaranteed a good tour.

A short break of about 15 – 20 minutes will be provided, this is where you will be able to grab a quick snack the Island’s Curio Shop and also have an opportunity to take pictures.

With your tour ending back to the Harbor, you will then travel another 30 – 40 minutes’ journey back to the WaterFront where you will meet your guide and continue with your Best of South African Wine Tasting Tour in the Exclusion Constantia Wine Route. In case of adverse weather and the tour gets cancelled, you will be provided with three options. First would be cancelling tour with full refund, secondly proceed with the rest of the tour and get a refund for your RIM ticket and lastly either reschedule the entire tour.

History : Robben Island is now a museum , prior to be a museum, it was a Maximum Security Prison. Robben Island (Afrikaans: Robbeneiland) is an island in Table Bay, 6.9 kilometres (4.3 mi) west of the coast of Bloubergstrand, Cape Town, South Africa. The name is Dutch for "seal island." Robben Island is roughly oval in shape, 3.3 km (2.1 mi) long north-south, and 1.9 km (1.2 mi) wide, with an area of 5.08 km2 (1.96 sq mi). It is flat and only a few metres above sea level, as a result of an ancient erosion event. Nobel Laureate and former President of South Africa Nelson Mandela was imprisoned there for 18 of the 27 years he served behind bars before the fall of apartheid. To date, three former inmates of Robben Island have gone on to become President of South Africa: Nelson Mandela, Kgalema Motlanthe and Jacob Zuma.

Robben Island is a South African National Heritage Site as well as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Upon return from Robben Island Museum, your tour guide will allow you to grab a swandich either at the Fat fish or at Now Now by Woolwoths, alternatevely you could by some lunch at Kersteinbosch botanical garden. Please take note that lunch will be at own account. driver will now take you and the rest of the group


Kirstenbosch was founded in 1913 and was established to preserve South Africa's unique flora and indigenous plants. With over 7 000 species in cultivation today, the garden forms the perfect display of fynbos and forest that is easily explored and enjoyed by locals and tourists via a number of walks and trails.

Stop At: Groot Constantia Estate Groot Constantia Road, Constantia 7806 South Africa

From the botanical garden of Kersteinbosch, we will drive though the winding scenic route en nroute to the the birth place of South African wine industry namely Groot Constantia, this is where the very first wine was crafted back in 1685.

The legendary wines of the Groot Constantia Estate in Constantia, Cape Town may be tasted and bought every day from 9am to 6pm. The wine tasting here will includes 5 wines and international souvenir tasting glass, which bears the logo of the Estate. At own account, A shop, offering a selection of quality shirts, aprons and caps etc., is also located on the Estate. Wines purchased here can be shipped to your home address at extra cost. Please take note that wine tasting fee is included, any other additional cost will be at own account.

History of Groot Constantia. The history of the farm dates back to 1685 when it was granted to its first owner, Simon van der Stel. He arrived at the Cape in 1679 to take over the post of Commander, later upgraded to that of Governor.

Stop At: Klein Constantia Road, Constantia 7848 South Africa

Our second and last winery to visit will be the exclusive Klein Constantia. This was the very first farm to produce wine in South Africa, before it was divided into three farms. Here we will do the KLEIN CONSTANTIA CLASSIC TASTING

This offering includes 5 signature terroir driven wines which reflect the essence of Klein Constantia and their sister farm Anwilka. On offer will be two distinctly different Sauvignon Blancs, two distinctly different red blends from the two properties and a sample of the legendary Vin de Constance. These are not just wines, but are very exclusive wines. You can buy wines here which will be shipped to your country door to door by Klein Constantia.

History : Constantia, the first wine farm in Southern Africa, was established in 1685 by the VOC Governor of the Cape Simon van der Stel, and was used to produce wine as well as other fruit and vegetables and cattle farming. Van der Stel, a keen viticulturist, had been the first to recognize the potential of the decomposed granite soil in the sheltered valley facing False Bay and bounded by sea on both sides after he had had soil samples collected from all over the Cape. He chose this area to plant his vines and named it Constantia.

Following van der Stel's death in 1712 the estate was broken up and sold in three parts (Groot Constantia; Klein Constantia; and Bergvliet).
