Thelema Wine Estate is a beautiful winery set in between some glorius old Oak trees near the top of the Helshoogte Pass, originally a fruit farm it was purchased in 1983 by Gyles Webb and now belongs to both the Webb and Mclean family Trust. First wines released in 1988, since then 50 hectares have been planted with Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Both their Chardonnay and their red wines have twice been listed in the top 100 wines in the world – Cellarmaster/Winemakers – Gyles Webb and Rudi Schultz – Annual Production 50,000 cases – Wines 40% red & 60% white – known for Cabernet, Merlot, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc.
