Itinerary

Day 1: The Cape Winelands

Stop At: Babylonstoren, R45 Road between Paarl and Franscchoek between Paarl and Franschhoek, Paarl 7670 South Africa
Leave Cape Town at 09h00 and travel to the Cape's famed Winelands. We visit some of the area's most elegant wine estates, tasting their superb Vegetarian and Vegan Wines. Stop for lunch at the Greenhouse Restaurant situated on the Babylonstoren Wine Estate. All food is served picnic-style in wooden crates with the preserves, jams and salads packaged in weck jars, while fresh bread is baked from our old wood-fired oven.

Stop At: CAPE WINELANDS DISTRICT, 44 Hoofweg Rd, Wellington, 7655, South Africa
We visit some of the area's most elegant wine estates, tasting their superb Vegetarian and Vegan Wines and enjoying leisurely strolls around their magnificent grounds. Guests will have an opportunity to purchase organic wines or juices.

Day 2: Route 62

Stop At: Magic Moments in Oudtshoorn, 261 Jan van Riebeeck Road, Oudtshoorn 6625 South Africa
Leaving the wine-lands, we head through the unique and scenically spectacular Klein Karoo Route 62 to arrive in Oudtshoorn, the "ostrich capital" of the world, with great flocks of ostriches providing a spectacle to be seen nowhere else. Enjoy a vegan/vegetarian lunch.

Stop At: Highgate Ostrich Show Farm, Scenic Cape Route 62 Volmoed, Oudtshoorn 6620 South Africa
The ostrich is surely one of the world's most peculiar birds and you will experience a visit to a fascinating Ostrich Show Farm.

Day 3: Cango Caves

Stop At: The Cango Caves, 328 Approximately 30km (19 miles) from town on the R, Oudtshoorn 6625 South Africa
After a leisurely breakfast, we proceed to one of Africa's great wonders - the subterranean wonderland of the Cango Caves. The largely unexplored sequence of vast caverns are filled with amazing formations of glittering dripstone. Lunch is enjoyed along with a tasting of Klein Karoo Wines or Juices.

Stop At: Wilderness Beach, Wilderness 6560 South Africa
Crossing the magnificent Outeniqua Mountains, we descend into the Garden Route. Our first Stop is the Wilderness where we stop for optional Craft Beer and Gin Tasting. (Juice and non-alcoholic beer available)

Stop At: Knysna Lagoon, The coast of the city, Knysna 6571 South Africa
Arriving in Knysna, we begin to explore this charming village with its myriad attractions for visitors. guests may embark on an Optional sunset cruise on the Knysna Lagoon.

Day 4: Plettenberg Bay and Natures Valley

Stop At: Plettenberg Bay, 6600, South Africa
Today you will explore Plettenberg Bay and the Tsitsikamma region. Originally named Bahia Formosa (Beautiful Bay) by the first Portuguese explorers, Plettenberg Bay more than lives up to its name as you spend time in its environs. We will do some whale and dolphin spotting. In the winter months there will be plenty of whales to view close to the shore.

Stop At: Bocca Dolce Vegan Restaurant, Coffee Roastery and Function Venue, Quarry Lake Estate, Stofpad, Wittedrift, 6603, South Africa
Lunch will be enjoyed at Bocca Dolce Restaurant. This quaint vegetarian/vegan café is on the farm Quarry Lake, where owners Lello and Lisa Incendiario grow and sell their own organic vegetables, microgreens, and wheatgrass.

Stop At: Natures Valley Beach, Lagoon Drive, Nature's Valley South Africa
We visit the tiny settlement of Nature's Valley, one of the loveliest havens of tranquillity along the Garden Route. Our exploration of this ancient forest leads through the tangle of trees, ferns and creepers to the undisputed monarch of the forest - gigantic Outeniqua Yellowwood trees.

Stop At: Monkeyland Primate Sanctuary, Monkeyland Road Animal Alley, The Crags, Plettenberg Bay 6600 South Africa
An optional tour of Monkeyland or the Birds of Eden or the Knysna Elephant Park is available before departing back to Knysna.

Day 5: Mossel Bay

Stop At: Mossel Bay Tourism, 2 Market Street, Mossel Bay 6506 South Africa
We head down to Mossel Bay. Enjoy a boat ride out to Seal Island to view seals, whales and sometimes the Great White Shark.

Stop At: Bartolomeu Dias Museum Complex, 1 Market St, Mossel Bay Central, Mossel Bay, 6500, South Africa
We also explore the Diaz Museum. here you can see the Old Post Office Tree, the Shell museum and the Caravel, a replica of the first sailing vessel to journey to Southern Africa. After an opportunity to do some last minute shopping and enjoy lunch at the Mall. We drop of our guests in the mid afternoon at George Airport for your onward flight or road transfer.
