Itinerary

Start your tour with a friendly, professional tour guide who will pick you up from your accommodation. We will contact you the evening before the tour to confirm all the necessary arrangements. We take the scenic route up the magnificent Sir Lowrys Pass with a pitstop at the top and then travel through Hermanus to Gansbaai where the boat trip starts. Spend 2-3 hours on the boat with a marine tour guide. The area surrounding Dyer Island and Shark Alley is world famous for the Marine Big 5. Depending on the time of year, you have the chance to see whales, dolphins, Cape fur seals, African penguins and great white sharks plus an abundance of sea bird life, all potentially in a single trip. An absolute must-see destination for wildlife photographers.

Thereafter travel to Hermanus famous for its luxury holiday homes, cliff path walks and stunning scenery. Drive home along the picturesque Gordon's Bay sea route stopping at the Stony Point penguin colony on the way.

Drop off at your accommodation at the end of a great experience.
* NB - the boat trip is weather dependent. We will liaise with you regarding the choice of alternate activities to replace the boat trip should it be cancelled.

Our tour guide was very prompt, friendly, and professional couldn't be faulted on his wealth of knowledge and great customer service. The tour began with a stop off for breakfast at a farmers market eatery called Peregrine. Then a drive to Heramus to join the whale watching boat. The skipper Ken was very knowledgeable and entertaining. We manage to see two whales and was given the opportunity to purchase a video footage of our trip. Dave Coxford met us on our return and we took the Coastal drive back to Cape Town. Stopping off to shots of the penguins and a sighting of a Dassie at Betty's Bay.
