Carcassonne Complete Photography Walk

About this activity
Itinerary

We're going to explore the city of Carcassonne across four hours, through your camera or smartphone lens! We'll kick things off by talking about the principles of great photography, but without any of the unnecessary jargon that comes with it, and we'll look at what we think makes a perfect photo. Starting at the Gare and on through to the Port of the Canal du Midi, and along to Pont Marengo, where we'll discuss the rule of thirds. We'll wander the cobbled streets and lanes, finding spots to learn about black and white photography, landscape, portrait and action shots. Continuing to the Pont Vieux (old bridge) through the Bastide, and up to the gorgeous Citadel, we pause at various points to reflect on new aspects of photography, and then jump behind the lens to try them out. We'll walk along the cobbles of 'les lines', to discuss lead-in lines and light and shade.

We're Instagram friendly! Our online community is accessible to all those taking part, and details of this will be offered to participants, at the end. Our tour is for photography beginners, for those with a real passion for taking snaps, and for those that know a thing or two about cameras. All welcome!
