Stop At: Mirepoix, France
Our first stop is Mirepoix, a beautiful medieval village dating from the 10th century. The large central square is flanked by a magnificent covered arcade, created by half timbered houses supported on wooden pillars.
Duration: 40 minutes
Stop At: Chateau de Montsegur, D9, 09300 Montsegur France
We then drive to the Château de Montségur, where the last stake of the Crusade against the Cathars occured in the 13th century. We then spend a relaxing lunch, enjoying the local cuisine.

Stop At: Chateau de Puivert, 11230 Puivert France
Next stop is the Castle of Puivert. With its 35 meter dungeon in which four splendid rooms are preserved and its six towers of defence, this fortress dominates the ancient glacial lake of Puivert.

Stop At: Rennes le chateau, Rennes le Chateau, Rennes-le-Chateau France
Then we move onto Rennes-le-Chateau, a small village perched on a hilltop that became world famous thanks to the story of the priest Bérenger Sauniere that suddenly became immensely wealthy…Some suggest he discovered the lost treasure of the Knights Templars including the Holy Grail!
