Joe told us when we arrived that we were the only ones that evening, he gave us a each a glass of an unusual but very good white and then introduced his dog. We went on an interesting trip around the vines and then a look at the winemaking equipment, description of the production and marketing processes and, importantly, tastes of each of the wines. The wines, even last year's out of the vat, were really good. And they got better. We then enjoyed dinner with Joe, his wife Liz and a young lady who helps them. We enjoyed the easy sociable environment, the conversation, the food and particularly the very good wine. It was a wonderful way to spend our last day in France before heading home and an enjoyable change from medieval castles and caves.
