Great tour by Gareth of western Wales. We had a very short time in Wales and we wanted to see as much as possible in our 18 hours in Wales. Seeing Key sites in Wales with a history teacher was an unexpected addition to the trip. Gareth’s knowledge and sharing of history added great value to the tour. When he picked us up, I told him that my grandfather had grown up in Skewen near Neath Abbey until he migrated to US in 1920 when he was 12. Turns out that Gareth lives in Skewen. In addition to the excellent itinerary that included Pembroke, Tenby, and Dylan Thomas’s home, on the way home he stopped at Neath Abbey so I could see where Grandpa grew up. The other tour participants graciously agreed to the additional stop. It is hard for me to convey what this meant to me to be able to see an historic Abbey and the neighborhood where ny grandfather grew up. Thank you very much, Gareth! If anyone needs a reference, send them to us!
