Day 1: Arrival into Wales

Today you will arrive into this unique country, Wales. Your Welsh Discovery begins in the capital city of Cardiff. There is plenty to see here, including Cardiff's impressive castle, the National Assembly for Wales and the Wales Millennium Centre.
Take the afternoon to explore, shop and enjoy a dinner at leisure in the city.

Day 2: Welsh History and Castles

Stop At: St Fagans National Museum of History, St Fagans, Cardiff CF5 6XB Wales
This morning, why not uncover history at St. Fagan's Natural History Museum? One of Europe's leading open-air museums, you will be given an insight into Wales from Celtic times to modern day. There are over forty original buildings from different historical periods, 100 acres of parkland, a farm, a school and a chapel.

Day 3: The Gower Peninsula

This morning why not discover the Gower Peninsula? This coast is the UK's first designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with 19-miles of stunning coastline that stretch westwards from the Mumbles.
Enjoy this in your own way, by either taking a short boat ride, a leisurely stroll or a quick dip in the ocean - the choice is yours!

Retreat back to Swansea for the afternoon and enjoy a spot of shopping or a walk around the museum.

Day 4: Tenby

Stop At: Tenby South Beach, South Beach, Tenby SA70 7EG Wales
After breakfast this morning, travel along to the beautiful town of Tenby. Tenby has a rich past that includes great kings escaping through secret tunnels, to the history of the docks and trade coming into the country. With Tenby's Museum, the castle, Cadley Island or simply the beach outlined with picturesque, colourful houses, there is so much to explore in this little town.

This afternoon why not take a walk along the Pembrokeshire coastal path? Pembrokeshire National Park is one of Wales' three National Parks - but the only coastal one! Did you know you can walk the entire coast of Wales? Stretch your legs and enjoy the beautiful views to behold.

Day 5: St. David's

Stop At: St. David's Cathedral, Charles Street, Cardiff CF10 2GE Wales
The unique city of St. David's is a must to explore, despite it being the smallest city in the UK - it's got a whole lot of history! The wonderful Cathedral here is worth a visit, and you will be able to see the St. Bishop's Palace next to it. St. David, or Dewi Sant as he is called in the Welsh language is the patron saint of Wales, and was one of the early saints who helped to spread Christianity amongst the pagan Celtic tribes of Western Britain.

Day 6: The West Coast

Stop At: Aberaeron Beach, Aberaeron, UK
Enjoy your drive along the west coast of Wales today, where you can stop and see towns such as Fishguard or New Quay.
We recommend a stop in the quaint town of Aberaeron, where you could enjoy a honey ice cream whilst watching the boats in the harbour.

Check in to the University town of Aberystwyth this afternoon and take some time exploring the independent shops, the National Library of Wales or even the Aberystwyth Arts Centre which always boasts an interesting exhibition.

Day 7: Full Steam Ahead

Stop At: Vale Of Rheidol, Terrace Road, Aberystwyth SY23 1NY Wales
This morning, embark on the Vale of Rheidol steam train to enjoy 12 miles of breath-taking scenery. You will wind your way through the Rheidol Valley to the mythical Devil's Bridge - said to be the last place the devil visited in Wales. Spend some time exploring the waterfalls here, and maybe even the Hafod Estate before your return train to Aberystwyth.
