Aquatrekking in the Grand Canyon Verdon

Trip procedure:
Allow 7 hours in all for the trip, which includes the time for getting equipped, the security briefing and transport to and from the site.
• Meeting point in the morning, at Castellane or at “l’Auberge des Cavailiers”, to be confirmed at the time of booking.
• All participants are equipped with a wet-suit, neoprene socks, a helmet and life jacket.
• A 45 minute walk down to the riverbank via the Cavailiers trail. This moment will allow you to gently warm up your body and is an enjoyable way to take in the exclusive sights of the Gorge du Verdon.
• Entry into the river happens just after crossing the “L’Estéllié footbridge on the left side of the riverbank. You will get to encounter one of the most beautiful river canyons south-eastern France has to offer in the Provence Côte d’Azur region. This 4 hour exploration by means of swimming, floating and jumping is packed with thrills and splashes undeniably forging unforgettable memories!
• The lunch break is a moment for you to soak up the majestic views and recharge your energy levels for the second half of the trip.
• After lunch you will continue downstream where you will be able to witness the striking sections of the Verdon river canyon: “l’Estéllié, “le Styx”, “le Maugué” and “L’Imbut”.
• The final part of the trip ends with a 45 minute ascending hike up out of the canyon via the Vidal trail. It’s a fun and challenging walk up, punctuated with some hair-raising and pleasurable passages. This moment also offers you the chance to revel in the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape.
