From Catania: Full-Day Sailing Cruise with Lunch

Thanks to the professionalism of our friendly skippers, on the same routes of Ulysses, you will discover the wonders of the Cyclops’ Riviera, visiting the marine reserve of Acitrezza. It’s here that Mount Etna Was born 500.000 years ago!
 
First stop
H10.00 am: Departure from the pier “Diporto Nautico Etneo” in the port of Catania, on board our sailboat Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 34.2, accompanied by our skipper.
Sailing or motor according to the weather and sea conditions. During the day you will learn the basics of sailing.
 
Second stop
Passing close to Ulysses’ Caves. These caves were formed in a beautiful lava cliff overlooking the sea. The colors of the backdrops are gorgeous, from blue to green to blue water. During this stop, you can have the first swim of the day. We will give you a mask and flippers to do snorkelling.
 
Third stop
Sail to the fishing port of Acitrezza, passing under the medieval castle of Acicastello. Spectacular the view of the castle by the sea. You can observe the characteristic “pillow lavas” found under the castle and due to the rapid cooling of submarine eruptions.
Once docked at the port of Acitrezza we [will accompany you to take the pedalo (included), the only way to be able to go inside the marine reserve “Cyclops’ Islands”.
 
Fourth stop
 
Returning to the boat, we] will offer you a lunch that includes: appetizer with typical flavours of the volcano, a first fish course, fruit and local wine.
 
Fifth stop
 
During the return sailing, if weather and marine conditions are favourable you will have the opportunity to have a swim in the open sea.
 
You'll be back around 6.00 p.m., really satisfied to have lived an unforgettable experience in enchanting places.
You don't need any particular equipment, just a swimsuit and clothing according to the season and the fact that in the sea when there is wind so you could feel cold, sun cream and a hat.
If you suppose to suffer seasickness we suggest you to take pills and patches before the tour. If you don’t have the equipment required we will provide the necessary, ask for it when you book.
