Pick up at your hotel or bed and breakfast in Catania.
Stop at an abandoned lava stone quarry to discover different kinds of lava stone and vegetation.
Stop for pictures at a house submerged by lava and then head to Crateri Silvestri (2000 mt/6560 ft asl) for a walk on the edge of the crater.
It is time to explore a lava tube (easy). With torches and helmets you go inside to see an amazing phenomenon.
You will stop at 1992 eruption, the one that threatened the city of Zafferana and there you can have free samples of tasty local products such as pistacchio, honey, honey cream, olive, oil, wine and liquors.
