Cesky Krumlov: Full day tour from Prague and back.

Excellent tour from Filip, who is our driver and tour guide to Cesky Krumlov. He is very knowable of the area and lived in the area previously. Excellent small group - 3 couples in a minivan was certainly more relaxed then 40 people on a bus. He escorted us throughout Cesky Krumlov in the town as well as the castle. Lunch included at restaurant set up by Filip. Great tour guide. Kept the pace going, but slower pace, due to many steps, inclines and declines in the castle area. Let the group dictate the pace, Never felt rushed. Quite a bit of walking...over cobblestone and brick walkways. Beautiful, cute little area, surrounded by water. Best tour we took in our 2 weeks in Eastern Europe. Filip was fabulous...Recommend him 150%

Filip did an awesome job of creating an alternative way to enjoy Cesky Krumlov. If you look at other reviews from other providers, the main issues are: 1. Long (3.5 hr) bus rides to and from there, meaning you lose your whole day traveling 2. Limited time (~ 2 hr) at Cesky Krumlov which isn't enough time to do it justice, especially if you try to get lunch there too. A provided lunch can be even worse since you might waste time waiting for it with your tour group and it's usually just some mediocre fast food chain. 3. Large groups can be unwieldy and not fun to travel with and guides might just leave you alone once you arrive to check it out on your own. This tour solved basically all of those things! Though it was a tight fit, Filip picked us up (4 people in total plus him) in his car instead of a bus so we didn't lose time doing a ton of hotel pick ups. The ride by car took about an hour less in both directions than it would by bus which was awesome. We left at a reasonable time and arrived there with PLENTY of time to see everything. Best of all, Filip kept us accompanied the whole time and provided interesting information the whole way through. All in all, we had almost 4 hours to see the entirety of Cesky Krumlov at a comfortable pace and even eat lunch there. The ride back got us home in time to actually make use of that same evening too (~ 5 pm as opposed to 7:30 pm like some others were offering). I felt like I was taking a risk initially by signing up for this particular offering since I didn't see reviews but now I'm happy to provide the first review and highly recommend any interested parties sign up as soon as possible! Considering that the prices are on par with what you pay for the large groups, this should be a no brainer!
