I have used Viator for a several years and this was the first mishap. I booked the day of, which was no issue, by calling Viator directly. What the agent failed to tell me was several details left out of the description. 1 Bring your passport. Your criss-crossing countries and the bus can get stopped at the border to have IDs checked. 2 The tour itself is only 2 hours, from 2-4pm. So if you take the early bus like I did, you will have a couple hours before the tour starts to shop or eat lunch. When the tour is over, you will have another 1 hour to yourself. 3 You are back in Chamonix at around 6pm. // THIS IS NOT A 12-HOUR TOUR!!! // The actual 2-hour tour itself was very good. Kimmie was the guide and she was great! But it was very frustrating and disappointing to find out the tour was only 2 hours, that I had a few hours on my own in an area of Geneva with not a lot of options, and that I would be back in Chamonix for dinner when I thought I wouldn't be back until 10pm.
