Charleston Style Tour

Founded in 1670, Charleston quickly became known for its charm and cosmopolitan attitude. Today the city is known for its gracious architecture and secret gardens. This tour will venture into the Historic District or "South of Broad" as the locals call it to view some of the most beautiful houses and churches in the city. Along the way you learn about Charleston's indigenous architecture--the single house--and see how world wide architectural trends were adapted for our balmy climate.

Offered on Saturdays at 10am and Sundays at 2pm, the Charleston Style Tour is 90 minutes long. Led by a city licensed tour guide and architectural historian, our route is approximately one mile on foot. We begin at Charleston City Hall, which is located at 80 Broad Street. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to start time in order to be checked in. This is a rain or shine tour except in the instances of severe weather.
