About this activity
The Palmetto is a 45-foot US Coast Guard Certified powered catamaran that holds up to 49 people. All tours depart/return, from/to the Charleston Maritime Center at 10 Wharfside Street, located 1/2 block from the SC Aquarium in Downtown Charleston. We ask that all of our guests arrive 30 minutes prior to departure and to please check in at our blue and white ticket booth located on the far left dock when facing the water. Complimentary parking is available at the Charleston Maritime Center only. In the unlikely event the lot is full, off-street parking is available and a city parking garage is located near the Aquarium. There are clean restrooms available at the Maritime Center. And of course, we do have a bathroom aboard. Soft drinks, water, beer, wine and prepackaged snacks are available on board for purchase.

Once aboard and seated, our mate will give a brief safety talk before departing from the dock. Then we invite you to enjoy a relaxing evening while cruising along Charleston’s waterways. Inhale the cool, salty breezes and all that encompasses Charleston’s Harbor, while listening to a variety of music. Along the way, you'll enjoy seeing sites such as the Battery, Fort Sumter, Fort Moultrie, the islands and the lighthouses. Dolphins and shore birds will entertain you with their whimsy. While this is not a guide narrated tour, our captain and mate are prepared to answer any questions you may have.

Postponed trip one day due to inclement weather. Was able to view all the attractions in the harbor up close and personal. Ravenel Bridge, USS Yorktown, Fort Sumter, Painter’s Point, and the Battery area. Last 45 minutes offered breathtaking sunsets. Highly recommend for others. Excellent value for the money. Beer and wine sold on the cruise. Only cheese and crackers served for food.

It was great relaxing cruise of the harbor, the two fort sites and the amazing old historical houses on the waterfront/seawall. While the weather didn't cooperate for the sunset, the cruise was well worth the time and money.

This was a great time!!! The view of the sky was really awesome. You might see dolphins - we saw over a dozen. Captain Mike if a first class master of the seas. If you want to do something that you will remember for years to come - take this sunset cruise.
