Day 2: Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding - Wide and Narrow Alley - Face-changing performance

Stop At: Giant Panda Breeding Research Base (Xiongmao Jidi), No.1375 Xiongmao Avenue the Outside Northern Third Ring Road, Chenghua District, Chengdu 610081 China
Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding has been created and imitated the natural habitat of giant pandas in order that they might have the best possible environment for rearing and breeding.

The giant pandas are not only a Chinese national treasure but are also beloved by people the world over. In total there are fewer than 2,000, of which 70% are distributed within the territory of Sichuan Province. Therefore, when visitors from home and abroad come to Chengdu, Sichuan, one of their main objectives will be to see this lovely animal for themselves.

Stop At: Dujiangyan Irrigation System, On the Minjiang River at the west of Dujiangyan, Dujiangyan 611830 China
Dujiangyan Irrigation System is the oldest and only surviving no-dam irrigation system in the world, which still plays a crucial role in draining off floodwater, irrigating farms and providing water resources for more than 50 cities in the province.

There is a magnificent bridge called the Anlan Cable Bridge crossing the Minjiang River above Yuzui, which is the most scenic place of the whole project.

Stop At: Kuanzhai Alley, East of Tongren Road, west of Changshun Street, Qingyang District, Chengdu 610015 China
Consisting of Wide Alley (Kuan Xiangzi), Narrow Alley (Zhai Xiangzi), Well Alley (Jing Xiangzi) three parallel ancient city alleys and 45 courtyards along them, Wide and Narrow Alley is one of Chengdu’s historical and cultural reserves, together with Daci Temple reserve and Wenshu Monastery reserve. It is a microcosm of the city’s history as well as a deep mark in local people’s memory.

Day 3: Jinli Ancient Street - Thatched Cottage of Du Fu - Departure from Chengdu

Stop At: Jinli Pedestrian Street, No.231 Wuhouci Street, Wuhou District, Chengdu 610041 China
Chengdu is a city brimming with a strong leisurely ambience with Jinli Street as the typical representative. The street is located to the east of the Wuhou Temple of Chengdu.

Visitors from all over China and abroad gather here to relax, admire the traditional-style buildings, and taste some local snacks.

At one end of Jinli Street is an imposing archway with 'Jinli Street' carved on it. From there the lane, paved with green flagstones, winds through Chengdu for a length of 350 meters. By combining the culture of the Three Kingdoms Period with the folk customs of Sichuan, the buildings on both sides including tea-houses, stores and hotels, are modeled on the architectural style of a traditional old town in western Sichuan Province from the Qing Dynasty. The wooden steles and the brick-walls exhibit an ancient charm.

Thatched Cottage of Du Fu was the home of a famous poet, Du Fu, in Tang Dynasty. During the four years stay there, he composed more than 240 poems that are considered to be precious national treasures.
