In the morning, you will be picked up by your guide and driver around 08:30am from your hotel in Chengdu. Sit and relax in a private, air-conditioned car, you will get to the attraction after 2 hours’ drive.
Upon arrival, a boat cruise will come first to offer an opportunity of a whole view of the Giant Buddha, gazing at a giant sitting Buddha statue along the cliff of a total height of 71 meters (233 feet) at his foot. Then get to the head of the Buddha, the 1020 twisted buns on his head will clearly be seen. Stereotypically, people think the buns were carved on the head yet the truth is they are made individually and inlayed in the head which helps you understand easily why it took in total 90 years to carve the Buddha along the cliff.
