Chengdu Small Group Tour: Giant Panda Base, Jinli Street, Kuanzhai Xiangzi

In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel and taken to the meeting point directly. (Our guide will contact you in advance to confirm the pickup time.)

The tour starts at 9:00am. Sit back and relax in a comfortable, air-conditioned minivan as your driver and guide take you to Chengdu Research base of Giant Pandas. Visit a Panda museum first at the Base where you can learn the origin and habits of the animal before you actually see them. Then see real Pandas at different ages out in the yard, infant baby pandas in an infant area, and visit delivery room of pandas. See the floppy animals’ daily life right next to you and take their photos. Try to say “hi” to adorable panda bears and see if they respond and if you are lucky, they will walk towards you at their typically slow pace.

Departing from the research base, drive to Jinli Street, a commercial street with over 2000 years’ history where you can try local Sichuan food, have bargain shopping, find the arts & crafts in various interesting shops and stalls.

Later, get back to your van heading to Wangjiang Pavilion Park, where you can enjoy some leisure time by strolling among the rare bamboo groves and watching locals exercise, sing, dance or play mahjong. Also relax in a teahouse there and drink a cup of tea for a real taste of Chengdu Style leisure life.

The tour will finish at approximately 5pm. You will be transferred back to the hotel
