Chennai Private Cultural Visit: Art, Dance, Temples, Sarees and a Homemade Meal

You will be picked up from your hotel early in the morning by Seetha who will take you to Kalakshetra, and will start your private tour at a traditional art and dance academy, a Chennai institution. You will then stop for a quick coffee and dosa at a popular local joint before viewing the stunning Kapaleeswarar temple and then rummaging through boutique stores for fine silk sarees and artifacts.

Seetha then brings you home to her riverfront apartment for a traditional South Indian soul food meal that includes sambar (lentils), rasam (a peppery tomato broth), egg curry, rice, masala fried potatoes and delicately spiced local, seasonal vegetables.
