Day - 1 Chennai - Kanchipuram - Mahabalipuram (D) Pick up from Chennai airport, railway station or hotel between 07:00 AM – 11:00 AM, drive to Kanchipuram and visit the Ekambareswarar and the Kailashnath temples. Take in the complete serenity of the birthplace of Lord Shiva. The temple stretches over 29 sq feet (9 sq m) and is one of the largest temples in the area.
Later, drive to Mahabalipuram, check in your hotel, and later explore the city. This entire city boasts amazing monuments and sculptures carved out of stone. See famous tombstones such as he Five Rathas, and Arjuna’s penance carved in bas-relief style. You will also see Mahishasura Mandapam and the Shore temple. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2 – Mahabalipuram – Tanjore (B,D) After breakfast, drive to Tanjore, and upon arrival check-in to your hotel.This destination is regarded as the most religious destination in South India. Brihadeshwara was constructed by the Chola King and exhibits the features created 11th century. View the ancient manuscripts and books in the library. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3 Tanjore – Madurai (B,D) This morning after breakfast drive to Madurai, on arrival check-in at your hotel. You will visit the famous Meenakshi Temple constructed using 100 pillars. You will experience a beautiful night ceremony inside the temple. You will also have the chance to visit Thirumalai Nayak palace and Gandhi Museum. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4 Madurai – Rameshwaram – Madurai (B,D) In the morning after breakfast, you will take a day trip to Rameshwaram. Here, you can explore the ancient history of Ramayana and take in the coastal scenic beauty. Ramanathaswamy Temple represents one of the foremost places where tourists come to pay their tribute. Later in the evening, you will return back to Madurai for dinner at the hotel and stay overnight.
Day 5 – Madurai - Kanyakumari (B,D) After breakfast, drive to Kanyakumari, on arrival check in to your hotel. You will see Kanyakumari, the end point of India, and take in the overwhelming natural beauty. This is where the three seas surrounding India merge into one. You will witness creations of Swami Vivekananda while you visit Vivekananda Memorial. This memorial is the site where Swami Vivekananda meditated and achieved his ultimate fate. In the evening, enjoy a sunset view, and return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 06 – Kanyakumari – Trivandrum (B) You will watch the sunrise in the morning, and return back to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Trivandrum Airport for your onward journey.
