About this activity

Enjoy a free hotel pickup from Chiang Mai city area around 8:30am or 4pm and head to an authentic Thai local market where students will learn about real Thai's shopping. Your guide will teach you how to choose the best sample of each ingredients to create a delicious dishes at your cooking class. You will be given some times to wander around the market if you want to before proceed to cooking school.

Upon arrival at cooking school, you will visit our beautiful organic garden where we grow all our own ingredients, such as Thai herbs and Thai eggplant. The cooking lesson will be conducted inside a sheltered area and there is a cooking station for each person. Your professional teacher will provide expert commentary along the teaching session.

Learn some new skills, meet some new friends and you get to eat what you have created. A complimentary cooking recipe will be provided for you to take home. Our driver will transfer you back to your hotel after a wonderful cooking class.

An excellent morning learning the basics of Thai cooking. As it turned out it seems I dont like lemongrass which caused a bit of a problem as you get to eat what you cook at the end, and lemongrass goes in EVERYTHING, I couldnt eat anything! But thats not the fault of the activity which was first class, super friendly staff.

This was a very entertaining and informative class. There were a lot of options of dishes to cook, including some that are not typically included in most classes that I have done elsewhere, and everyone could cook what they wanted rather than the whole class cook the same thing.

I absolutely loved it. I was travelling by myself so wasn't sure if it would be fun on my own, but it was great. The instructor was hilarious and we had lots of options for what we wanted to cook. The food was delicious and you get a cookbook of everything to take home. This was one of the best things I did when I was in Chiang Mai. Would do it again for sure.

Really this tour! The group size was quite large compared to other cooking classes I went on in Asia, but that didn't really matter - the chef spoke great English and the food tasted fantastic. Really nice to get a cooking book at the end as well.
