Kong Lor Cave private trip from Nakhon Phanom

You’ll be met in your hotel in Nakhon Phanom at 7 am. and transfer to Friendship Bridge and the border Thailand-Laos. After Thai Immigration you will cross the bridge over spectacular Mekong River. At Laos Immigration you could obtain Visa (30.-$ plus a photo). After immigration formalities you will continue for 3 hours by car onwards into Khammoune province and into the karst mountainous area, where a stop at a view point near Khoun Kham offers a breathtaking view over the surrounding area.

Upon arrival to the Kong Lor Cave and after a lunch and briefing, you will get life jackets and headlamps. Upon entering the cave, board a longtail boat which will cruise through the length of this spectacular cave along an underground section of the Hin Boun River. A length of 7.5km will be traveled before daylight is seen again! Discover stalactite and stalagmite formations while partially exploring the cave on foot. Upon reaching the other side of the cave, stop for refreshments and walk to local villages, enjoying the scenery and observing a simple way of life. Return by boat, traveling ‘downstream’ through the cave, to Ban Kong Lor.
