Day 1
) 9am Pick up from hotel - enjoy the scenery as we head out into the sub-tropical countryside (approx 1 hours drive from Chiang Mai city) - stop to visit aspects of local life along the way such as roadside markets - onto Karen village- learn about Karen way of life, ie; weaving handicraft - lunch break - visit to farm - learn about how the Karen live with nature - cook traditional dinner together - O/n Karen Hilltribe homestay in a bamboo stilt house

- We cannot guarantee what you will see/do in the village, as the tour follows the natural rhythm of village life. But you will have the chance to meet villagers, be invited into their homes and to see how they live
- You will travel with a local hill tribe guide, who opens up cultural doors for you in a respectful way
- The itinerary is an outline only, and the activities and order may change, this flexibility gives us more opportunity to explore the local way of life, instead of a fixed program. You can discuss the plan with your guide, and he can customise it accordingly.
- The tour includes an overnight at a hill tribe home stay in a village. Conditions are basic, with no electricity, no hot shower and simple bedding on the floor. Bedding and mosquito nets are provided. You are welcome to bring your own sleeping bag
- You can request overnight at a local guesthouse instead
- You pay for the home staydirectly to the host family, so they benefit directly from your visit
- Option to visit 'Baan Tong Luang' village, which is where you can see a variety of hill tribes such as; Palong, Lisu, Akha, Long neck etc. You can decide about this along the way, with your guide
- Activities are subject to change based on weather, events and other local factors
