Optional visit to Baan Tong Luang village (where you can see the Long neck women, Palong, Lahu, Hmong, Lisu hill tribes). This is a touristic village, but it provides the chance to see a variety of hill tribe groups, which would otherwise be difficult to see in 1 day. The ticket for this is an additional cost. You can decide about this on the day, with your guide

One of the worst tour I experienced so far. 1 The 4 wheel drive for 4 pax plus guide and driver is 6 pax was sooooo damm uncomfortable. car was dirty. The last row got no room for legs and so dammmmmm bumpy. At last, I cannot stand it anymore, told the guide one of us will take the seat next to the driver and another one will squeeze on the center row. Ask the tour guide to sit the last row. Guess what.....HE VOMMITED. That shows how torturing we experienced. 2 We NEVER get to see the village if we have not paid extra to 500 baht per head to go the the village that has the long neck ladies, this trip is really nothing. Travelled for 3 hours on bumpy non-tar road to see 10 people planting padi which is meaningless. we were not brief by them what is next. 3 the paid 500 baht per head to go and see the famous long neck was good . This tour should just go to this villlage and that is it. the Full day authentic Hill Tribe to see padi field is a waste of time and money. 4 IT IS A GREAT MISTAKE THAT I BOOKED THIS TOUR. IF not of the extra paid trip, it is nothing but TORTURE.

We fortunately took the time to go to the paid village, which others describe as a tourist trap. We did not feel that way at all. We did get to experience up-close the various hill tribe people and their cultures. If we had only done the individual villages, we would have been disappointed because in their day to day, they do not dress in traditional clothing, they wear modern day clothing. Our guide Sak was very knowledgeable and his English was quite good. Would recommend this tour, but if you really want to learn about the different tribes, do NOT pass up the paid village part of the tour.

This was a truly fantastic tour. Very educational, enjoyable, and interesting. Our guide was very knowledgeable and went out of his way to teach us about the history of Thailand's Hill Tribes and how they're living today. He put a lot of effort into the tour and it made for a great day for the whole family. We really enjoyed it, and we would recommend it to anyone!
