Wat Doi Suthep Temple & Rice Farmer

- 08.00 am. Get picked up from your hotel or accommodation in Chiang Mai, Drive about 50 minutes to The Happy Buffalo & Agri Farm, as a community project in Mae Rim village just outside Chiang Mai.

- Arrive to our main farm, Meet some local people and our buffalo, get change into traditional Thai farm clothes, Becoming rice farmers for the halfday. first briefed about learning how to try our hand at planting rice, the process of planting and harvesting rice in the rice paddy all production methods are organic and sustainable, Moreover, the relation between people and buffaloes is observed by different shows, The interesting show at this house is the buffalo’s show and the lifestyle of farmers and see how buffaloes are used to plough the rice paddies and try it for yourself!

- Discover age-old techniques for planting or harvesting rice grains on the plantation, learning under the supervision of a knowledgeable local, Ploughing the rice paddy with our buffalo, sowing the rice seedlings and push the young seedlings gently into the prepared paddies one by one, separating them to allow for their growth, Cutting and bundling rice stored and milled into rice powder. Our presenters demonstrate each step the cycle of rice harvesting with the fields to make it optimal, where you will work alongside local farmers. All proceeds from the experience will go directly to improving the lives of the local people.

- After lunch, Visiting Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, the temple is placed atop a mountain, Mount Suthep, which overlooks the city, To reach the hilltop Buddhist temple, you have to climb a 306-step staircase. (If you do not want to climb up the stairs, you may use the elevator built for tourists). At the very top of the staircase there is a terrace adorned with small shrines, breadfruit trees, rock gardens, the Emerald Buddha statue etc, A nice white elephant statue is also there. Another statue that commands awe is 'Mom'- a guardian dragon with lizard like build, You can take the steps which leads to an inner terrace, which has a golden chedi, There are shrines encircling this chedi and these are frequented by Buddhist pilgrims, The views you get from the mountain top and temple premises are breathtaking.

- 16.20 pm Leave the Wat Doi Suthep, drive 40 minutes back to Chiang Mai city, At about 17:00 pm Arrive at your accommodation and end Great day tour.
