Stop At: Chicago River, Chicago, IL

Along the Chicago River in the River North neighborhood, Harry Caray's is a local sports mecca. The history of the building is far more sinister. Enjoy viewing the hidden tunnels beneath and hearing the stories of Frank Nitti who was Al Capone's enforcer that owned the building that today occupies the restaurant Harry Caray's.

Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: 2045 N Lincoln Park W, Chicago, IL 60614-4707

The Burwood Tap is has your throwback look of an old Chicago soda shop, but that was just a front for them selling hooch. They've kept the same historic awning up as a salute to those olden times and continue to be a great neighborhood bar.

This was a really fun tour where we visited bars that were open as speak-easys back in the day. Miranda our guide was a pleasure and taught us a lot about what it was really like in the prohibition era.

Sydney and Meredith made the trip simply delightful. We followed their suggestions for drinks, and weren’t disappointed. I was glad there was time to eat as well as drink as we saw the backrooms and basements of the 13 years of Prohibition. Try the Lemon Drop at Lucky’s. Avoid the Chicago Handshake at Maggie’s Still.

Sidney is probably the most entertaining tour guide I've ever had. Lots of laughs, good drinks, and learned some stuff to boot. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing tour with Sydney! Extremely knowledgeable and a lot of fun. Learned many interesting tidbits about Prohibition and thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Martinis at Club Lucky are the best! Thanks for a great afternoon, we highly recommend it.

A great experience - took this tour in the middle of winter and it was a blast. The bus provided is a great asset and is pulled up to the door of each establishment. The cocktails were excellent and it's easy to make new friends and find a few gems to re-visit after the tour. Cheers!
