We did both the one-hour city highlights and the two-hour which turned into nearly three-hour tour of surrounding areas. Very knowledgeable and entertaining guide Good itinerary and coverage Good value for money - Pre-paid/pre-booked customers should be let on the bus first - and not have to compete for seating with those that arrive on the day, but may have been picked up earlier. On the city tour, the bus was actually over-booked due to earlier pick-ups. We had pre-booked, but were seated in two very bad seats with poor vision and poor comfort

This tour certainly provides lots of information on the earthquake and history of New Zealand's origins so well worth the money. Unfortunately we had mechanical problems that caused quite a delay but the Bus Driver did his best to keep us entertained. The Double Decker Bus is a great way to see the after effects of the earthquake from 2011. Christchurch is a big area to get around so taking this tour gives you a good chance to see as much as possible in a short time.
