Stop At: Christchurch Gondola, 10 Bridle Path Road, Christchurch 8022 New Zealand

Tour of Downtown CHCH where NZ$50 billion is rebuilding our city into the most modern city in the world. See the Transitional Cardboard Cathedral, Arts Centre, Memorials and new modern architecture blend into the old.

Travel through the hill suburb of Cashmere, past the Sign of the Takahe, Stop at the historic Sign of the Kiwi.

Drive over the hills into the port town of Lyttelton where the first settlers landed before building Christchurch. We'll stop at the historic Time Ball Station, one of only five left in the world.

Driving through the longest road tunnel in NZ we'll take in the Gondola, climb 1,500 ft, spend an hour while being blown away with the views. Take the Time Tunnel...it's excellent.

Drive through the hill suburbs of Redcliffs and Mt Pleasant and onto the seaside suburbs of Sumner and Scarborough.

Marvel at 'Brigadoon' as we return you to your accommodation.

The Victorian-era Timeball Station – used to signal the time to ships in Lyttelton Harbour.

The concept of dropping a ball to mark time dates back to the mid-1800s in England to signal the time to those who could not afford clocks and watches. The Lyttelton timeball, built in the 1870s to help sailors establish their longitude, is on the Lyttelton hillside overlooking the port and harbour. It is one of only five working in the world.

Christ's College, Christchurch is an independent, Anglican, secondary, day and boarding school for boys, located in the city centre of Christchurch, New Zealand. Founded in 1850 by Reverend Henry Jacobs in Lyttelton as a school for early settlers, College is the oldest independent school in the country.

The Canterbury Earthquake National Memorial is the Crown's official memorial for those killed or seriously injured in the 22 February 2011 Christchurch earthquake. It is located on both sides of the Avon River downstream from the Montreal Street bridge.
