Itinerary

Choose your spot down by the Collins river bank. You must provide your own tents. A portable camping potty can be provided at no cost, but may have to be shared with other campers. No showers provided. Spacing could become limited due to water levels and tents previously rented. Spaces are by the Collins river and no lighting or electricity is provided. Small fire pit fires are permitted and permission for a bonfire for groups can be arranged with advance notice. TWRA fishing licenses are required if fishing. Swimming is allowed and tie out floats are available to use for free. Grill is available. General store on top of the hill carries some refreshments and amenities campers may need. Insect repellant is advised and with NO LIFEGUARD on duty, young children are advised to wear life jackets near or in the river. All trash is expected to be picked up and site left as it was found. Persons exhibiting violence, unruly intoxication or property destruction will be required to leave with no refund issued. A 4x4 can get to and from river area easily, but other vehicles will need to park by the store and MAD MUSKY staff will take you and your gear downhill to set up or break camp.
