Located just a short drive to the east of Melbourne, the beautiful Blue Dandenongs Ranges are home to colourful native birds, fern gullies and tall mountain ash eucalypts. Look for Kookaburras, Crimson Rosellas, Cockatoos and of course the elusive Lyrebird. Puffing Billy steam train – an original steam locomotive and one of Victoria’s most unique attractions. You will delight to the sounds of the whistle and the steam as you ride Puffing Billy through the forest.

Stop At: Fergusson Winery & Restaurant, Wills Road, Dixons Creek, Yarra Glen, Victoria 3775 Australia
Tour the Yarra Valley, a noted wine producing region and visit Fergusson’s Winery where can enjoy a delicious spit roast lunch (Asian food and vegetarian meals are available). There will be opportunity for wine tasting in the cellar door. We’ll then make a dessert stop at decadent Yarra Valley Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery to satisfy any sweet tooth. Continue to Rochford Wines for further tastings and then to Dominique Portet, a boutique family owned winery. We’ll join a vineyard, bottling or vintage tour followed by wine tasting complimented with cheese and crackers.

Anybody who is a fan of steam trains must come and right the Puffing Billy. Wonderfully restored engines and passenger cars. Fun for the whole family.
