About this activity
Cruises operate daily from June to November annually.
Departure point - “E” finger, Coffs Harbour International Marina, Marina Drive, Coffs Harbour (Eastern end)
Cruise Frequency: Cruises operate every day and are only influenced by weather and sea conditions
Cruise Times -
Morning Cruise: 8:30am – 10:00am.
Note: This cruise is very popular as we find the whales more responsive in the morning as well as favourable cruising conditions
Noon Cruise: 11:00am – 12:30pm
Afternoon Cruise: Subject to demand and weather conditions
Passengers need to arrive 15 minutes before the cruise is due to depart and will be required to register on board.
Refreshments: Tea, coffee, cordial, water, cake and biscuits are served on each cruise.

Pacific Explorer was purpose built as a stable sea-going vessel and to a stronger, government regulated standard than conventional boats.
Whale Watch Experience and Pacific Explorer have a perfect safety record.
Having a wide hull and low centre of gravity Pacific Explorer has reduced rocking and rolling motion, which helps as you move about the boat and with taking photos.
Whilst we specialise in smaller, more comfortable passenger numbers per cruise, on average we take approximately 2000 guests whale watching each year, on 100 cruises.
Our guests have ranged from 8 weeks to 96 years and we welcome passengers with disabilities as much as possible.

Over the last 3 seasons we have had a 100% success rate at finding whales and our average over the last decade is 98%

- We recommend warm layered clothing including hat and jacket as sea breezes are often cool. Dress appropriately for the weather on the day of the cruise

- Cruises are on the open ocean and whilst we do not venture far from the shoreline, guests should be able to cope with wave action
- The boat has open deck space with various levels
- It is necessary to climb 1 metre high stairs to access the boat
- The boat has limited wheelchair capacity with restricted space/movement - please contact us to confirm requirements
- Subject to favorable weather conditions. If cancelled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund
