Day 1: Coimbatore – Munnar [160 Kms/ approx. 4 Hrs]
On your arrival in Coimbatore airport, Hotel or train Station you will be received by our representative between 07:00 - 11 AM. He will direct you to Munnar by a chauffeur driven air-conditioned car. Check-in at the hotel in Munnar and take some time to relax.
After a short rest you will be taken to ‘Eravikulam National Park’. It is known for maximum population of rare species Nilgiri Tahr. Other animals that can be spotted here are lion-tailed macaques, gaur, Indian muntjacc, Golden jackal, jungle cat, wild dog, dhole, leopard, tiger, etc.
Continue the tour of Munnar visiting major attractions Tea Museum, Mettupatty Dam and Echo Point. After sightseeing you will be dropped back at the hotel for night stay.
Day 2: Munnar – Thekkady [110 Kms/ approx. 3 Hrs]
Leave for Thekkady by our chauffeur driven air-conditioned car. It is a tiny tourist attraction tucked at the border of Kerela and Tami Nadu. Check-in at the hotel in Thekkady and time-out from the journey. You will be then taken to see the famous luxuriant spice plantations of clove, cardamom, black pepper, cinnamon, etc.
Next visit will be to ‘Periyar National Park’ serving as home to rare, endemic and endangered flora and fauna. It features a lake which hosts boat cruise observing the greenery and wildlife all around. Some of the animals that are spotted here without struggle are wild elephants, bison, barking deer, elephant, mouse deer, bonnet macaque, etc. Later, we will move to a famous local market where you can see the interesting local stuff. Sign off the day by a cozy overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3: Thekkady – Cochin [160 Kms/ approx. 4 Hrs]
The day will start with journey to Cochin after having breakfast. Cochin is a major port city and financial capital of Kerela. It has been under the rule of English, Dutch and Portuguese in the past and hence is bestowed with multifarious architectural monuments. The sightseeing of the gorgeous city will cover : - Santacruz Basilica (Portuguese), Mattancherry Palace (Portuguese), Jewish Synagogue (Jewish), St. Francis Church (European), etc.
After a fascinating sightseeing a spellbinding evening awaits you with the dance show ‘Kathakali’. It is a form of an Indian Classical dance and is distinguished by face masks, face painted with bright colors, clear expressions with big eyes-body parts and peculiar costume. After watching the show you will be dropped back at the hotel for night stay in Cochin.
Day 4: Cochin – Coimbatore Airport [210 Kms/ approx. 5 Hrs]
After having delicious breakfast our driver will see you at the hotel for transferring you to Coimbatore airport , Hotel or Train Station. Your Kerela tour package will hereby terminate.
