About this activity
Day 1: Coimbatore – Munnar Meet our representative at Coimbatore airport , Hotel or train station between 07:00 AM - 2 PM ,and leave for gorgeous hilly beauty ‘Munnar’. You will be dropped at the hotel booked for your comfortable stay. Spend the evening at rest or take a walk in nearby places ,overnight stay.
Day 2: Munnar After breakfast, you will be taken for visit to first national park of Kerala ‘Eravikulam National Park’. It is a hotspot of safari to spot wild animals like Nilgiri Tahr, Lion-tailed Macaques, Sambar Deer, Leopard, Tiger, Indian Porcupine, etc. After an adventurous safari get ready for unique experience of knowing about tea extraction in ‘Tea Museum’. The staff is very supportive and always eager to tell its visitors about the secret to production of best quality tea.
‘Matupetty Dam’ is another interesting tourist attraction in Munnar famous for boat ride and enchanting views of surrounding mountainous beauty. In proximity of Matupetty Dam lies ‘Echo Point’, a small site enclosed by three mountain ranges. People enjoy the visit to listen echo of their voice produced within the mountains. Later, you will be dropped back at the hotel. Over night stay
Day 3: Munnar – Thekkady Embark on early morning journey to ‘Thekkady’ a small place located near Kerala-Tamil Nadu border. On reaching, enter the hotel and take some rest. The tour will begin with visit to ‘Spice Plantations’ where you can witness the lush cultivation of different spices viz. cloves, cardamom, pepper, cinnamon, etc.
Thereafter, explore wildlife and nature in ‘Periyar National Park’ enjoying wildlife safari with boat ride. Safari offers exciting glimpse of inhabiting rare indigenous species like barking deer, elephant, mouse deer, bonnet macaque, etc. Enjoy shopping in the local market and then return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 4; Thekkady – Cochin The final visit will be to the major port city and financial capital of Kerala ‘Cochin. The city is full of intriguing monuments dating back to era of English, Dutch and Portuguese. After the journey from Thekkady to Cochin check-in at the hotel and spend your time relaxing for a while. The places we will cover in sightseeing of Cochin are - Santacruz Basilica (Portuguese), Mattancherry Palace (Portuguese), Jewish Synagogue (Jewish) and St. Francis Church (European).
The evening will be for watching famous Indian classical dance show ‘Kathakali’. Click the pictures of immaculate expressions, vividly painted faces and peculiar costumes of the artists performing show. You will be then transferred back to the hotel for overnight stay in Cochin.
Day 5: Cochin – Coimbatore Have breakfast and then get ready to board the air-conditioned car allotted for your drop at Coimbatore airport, Hotel or train station. Your Kerala tour package from Coimbatore will hereby terminate
