Fatima & Nazare Sites of Pilgrimage & Devotion Tour

During this guided tour we will visit the place of pilgrimage and devotion of Ftima on a half day tour, with its sanctuary that grew specially after the events known as the Apparitions of Ftima in the early part of the twentieth century. It has become one of the key centers for the cult of the Virgin Mary in Portugal and has been recognized world-wide by the Catholic Church. In this full day tour we will have time to walk in the Little Shepherds Path of Valinhos (the place where Ftimas shepherds have seen the Angel of Peace for the first and third times) and after we will head to the coastline visiting the unforgettable Stio da Nazar. Altough Nazar is on the worlds mouth since the Hawaiian surfer Gareth McNamara surfed a 78 feet wave in 2011, having set a World Guiness record, the highest point of the city (known as Stio da Nazar) is a place of cult since the 12th century. We will get there using a unique method of transportation: Nazars Funicular! Here we will visit Ermida da Memria Chapel and the 18th century Sanctuary of Our Lady of Nazar!
