Fullday Walking walkways of Paiva River, Arouca and Frecha Mizarela Waterfall

After hotel pickup in Coimbra, we take direction towards to Espiunca fluvial beach, where our activity begins. The Walkways of Paiva River are located on the left bank of the Paiva River. It is 8 km that offer an "untouched" walk, surrounded by landscapes of unparalleled beauty, in an authentic natural sanctuary, beside whitewater falls, quartz crystals and endangered species in Europe. The route extends between the fluvial beaches of Areinho and Espiunca. A journey through biology, geology and archeology that will surely be in the heart, soul and mind of any lover of nature.

After the walk, it is time to have lunch and after lunch we visit the Convent of Arouca and then the highest and most beautiful cascade of mainland Portugal, the Frecha da Mizarela waterfall. Here, the Caima River is projected to more than 60 meters in height, in a natural spectacle worthy of being contemplated, listening to the waters that flow through the granitic rocks used by the canyoning practitioners.

At the end of the visits, we return to the point of origin
