Day 1: Colombo - Udawalawe National Park

This park is home to several hundred elephants and other rare plants and wildlife.

Pass By: Udawalawe Dam, Uda Walawe National Park Sri Lanka
The Udawalawe Dam is a large irrigation dam in Udawalawe, in the Southern Province of Sri Lanka. The dam consists of an embankment section and a gravity section, combining the total dam length to approximately 3.9 km (2.4 mi). The dam is also used for hydroelectric power generation, powering three 2 MW units, commissioned in April 1969.[1]

Pass By: R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium, Khettarama Temple Rd, Colombo 01000, Sri Lanka
R. Premadasa Stadium is a cricket stadium situated on Khettarama Road, Maligawatta, Colombo, Sri Lanka. During games, large crowds of local fans fill up the lower seats who’ll scream and cheer without any extortions to “make some noise.” The best seats available are in the Grandstand, which are less congested and offer a great view of the giant scoreboard. There are plenty of food stalls at the stadium, including KFC, Pizza Hut, Lays potato chips, as well as local vendors selling hot dogs, pineapple, chocolates and many other snacks.


Pass By: Arcade Independence Square, 7 Colombo, Colombo 00700 Sri Lanka
The Arcade Independence Square is a high-end shopping complex housed in a group of renovated colonial-era buildings in Colombo. It portrays a truly exemplary story of emergence from the depths of despair into a new life of hope and joy. It was built as a part of the Independence Square Redevelopment program initiated by the Sri Lankan Government. The setting and the design of the building including the interior, promoted maximum daylight, secured the greatest amount of circulation of air about the buildings and enabled every part to profit by the prevailing winds.

Day 2: Udawalawe National Park -Yala National Park-Colombo

Stop At: Yala National Park, Sri Lanka
Yala National Park is a huge area of forest, grassland and lagoons bordering the Indian Ocean, in southeast Sri Lanka. It’s home to wildlife such as leopards, elephants and crocodiles, as well as hundreds of bird species. Inland, Sithulpawwa is an ancient Buddhist monastery. Nearby caves contain centuries-old rock paintings. Southwest, Magul Maha Viharaya also has ancient Buddhist ruins. Both are pilgrimage sites

Pass By: Beira Lake, 02 Colombo, Colombo 01200 Sri Lanka
Beira Lake is one of Colombo’s most famous landmarks. It lies right in the middle of the capital which is surrounded by many large businesses in the city and is one of the few places of relaxation and beauty within the city limits. As such the area on and around it has many attractions; not to mention the history of the lake itself. It still retains its Portuguese name. It is connected to many intricate canals which provided an easy way of transporting goods within the city and suburban cities.


Pass By: Old Parliament Building, Fort, Colombo Sri Lanka
This Neo-Baroque-style building was built during the British colonial era to house the Legislative Council of Ceylon. It was built on an idea of Sir Henry McCallum, which led to a proposal made by a committee to construct the new building for the Secretariat, Council Chamber and Government offices on reclaimed land at the northern end of Galle Face’ were accepted by the Government in 1920.
