Day 01: Colombo - Sigiriya-On this day, we will drive about 5hours to Sigiriya, which is the center for exploring the major Buddhist archaeological sites in Sri Lanka. En route, a visit to the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage would be taken.
In the late afternoon, we will climb the spectacular rock fortress of Sigiriya, which is one of the major tourist attractions in Sri Lanka.
Day 02: Sigiriya - Polonnaruwa - Dambulla-On this day, we will drive about 5hours to Sigiriya, which is the center for exploring the major Buddhist archaeological sites in Sri Lanka. En route, a visit to the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage would be taken.

Day 03: Sigiriya - Kandy -Kandy is the next stop on this day, about 3hours’ drive away. At 500m above sea level, Kandy is the cultural capital of Sri Lanka. We go to the Temple of the Tooth, which houses the sacred tooth of Buddha. We will also enjoy a tour around Kandy, with its cool climate and bustling town center. The National Museum and the shrines around Kandy are also places of interests that will be visited In the evening after dinner, enjoy a cultural show featuring the various dances of Sri Lanka.
Day 04: Kandy - Nuwara Eliya-A drive round the Lake of Kandy before we depart for Nuwara Eliya, about 3hours away. Situated at 1889m, it used to be the summer resort of the British. It is a beautiful town set against the backdrops of English country-style houses, tea plantations and waterfalls. It is cold here, so layer up! Along the way, we will visit a tea plantation.
Day 05: Nuwara Eliya (Horton Plains)-The Horton Plains National Park form an undulating plateau more than 2000m high, consisting mainly of grasslands interspersed with patches of forest and some unusual high altitude vegetation. A half day hike will take us to World’s End where the plateau comes to a sudden end and then drops vertically down for about 880m. A picnic lunch here in the afternoon before we head back to town where it will be free and easy for the rest of the late afternoon.'
Day 06: Nuwara Eliya - Yala National Park
Day 07: Galle- We arrive at this World Heritage listed historic colonial town. It is Sri Lanka’s 4thbiggest town and most historically interesting living town. There is the Galle Fort, several museums, a Dutch Reformed Church and the bustling town centre to take in. Free and easy on this day.
Day 08: Galle - Colombo-We will depart for Colombo on this day, about 4hours’ ride from Galle. Check into a hotel and there is time for some last minute shopping as we will tour the city before catching the plane .
